NOTE: There will be no Junior and Family Volunteer orientations during the months of July and August. Therefore, those under the age of eighteen who would like to volunteer over the summer will need to attend the orientations offered in May or June. Volunteer orientation dates can be found at the bottom of this page.
Interested in joining our team?
The New Rochelle Humane Society rely on volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks, such as animal care, special events and administration tasks. Time commitments range from a few hours per month to as much time as you have available.
To become a volunteer, you must complete the following three steps:
Step 1 - Complete the appropriate volunteer application. You can download an application below or pick one up at our shelter.
- Adult Volunteer Application (18 years and up)
- Junior Volunteer Application (14-17 years)
- Family Volunteer Application (Parent/legal guardian with children 10-13 years)
Step 2 - Submit your application to our shelter via mail, fax, or in person.
Step 3 - Attend a volunteer orientation (click here for upcoming dates).
