Purty Boy was just three days old when he was somehow separated from his mother. Being an orphan at such a young age, Purty Boy would need round-the-clock care in order to survive. Below is a photo diary of Purty Boy from the day we met him until he was adopted eight weeks later. Thanks to his loving foster parent, Purty Boy is now living happily with his new family!
When an elderly Jack Russell Terrier arrived at our shelter, we worried, how are we ever going to find this old gal a home? Then, Deidre walked through our doors offering to foster an older dog, even one with medical problems! Deidre knows that she will not have Daisy for long, but she is enjoying each and every day with her.
During the summer, two six-week old kittens arrived at our shelter. This brother/sister pair, later known as Koall and Miss Panda would typically be ready for adoption within just a few short weeks. However, they had come in contact with a kitten who was infected with Feline Leukemia, a deadly virus that is contagious to other cats. As a result, Koall and Miss Panda would have to be re-tested for this virus after a four month incubation period to ensure that they are in good health prior to adoption. The thought of this duo growing up in a cage at our shelter was heartbreaking, but finding a foster parent willing to care for these kittens for such a long period of time and understanding their uncertain fate would surely be a difficult task. Fortunately, our dedicated team continue to amaze us with their generous hearts. Koall and Miss Panda were able to enjoy the comforts of staff member, Ashley's home before being re-tested. They were officially cleared and placed up for adoption just in time for Christmas and are now living happily ever after.
